An interest in art and design led me to art college and ever since I have been an artist. I create drawings and paintings taking my inspiration from natural forms, flowers and the landscape. I use different mediums such as pencil, chalk pastels, acrylics and watercolours. I also create ceramic pieces and have recently been working on a new range of slip cast bowls and pots.
I have exhibited my art work and ceramics at the Oriel Myrddin, Wales, the Mall Galleries, London with the Society of Designer Craftsmen and the Society of Women Artists. For three years I was part of the Burgess Hill Open Studios allowing the general public to see my work from my home and now with the Burgess Hill Artists.
I’m a member of the Adventurers Art Club and won the Viewers Vote Trophy in 2016 at the Summer Exhibition. I’m also a member of the Weald Art Club and exhibited with them and with the Association of Sussex Artists too. This year I have exhibited at The Woolpack in Burgess Hill, The Oxmarket Chichester
and St Peters Church, Burgess Hill.
Alongside being an artist for over ten years I’ve been a part time Craft, Design and Art Technician at a local college and school helping students with their art work too.
